A new technology has made a commitment to bring you the best programming you want to see than finding it anywhere else. It has raised the industry horizon, providing another consideration to your purchasing decision. Direct TV is offering shockingly thin panels, bright images and unique designs that are changing the way we think about flat panel televisions. LED actually refers to the backlight of the TV; the technology itself is still LCD. Knowing that Light Emitting Diode is in fact, LCD TVs, what makes them better? There are a number of features that are inherent to the technology that make them the backlight of choice.
Be that as it may, however, a traditional TV uses a ‘Cold Cathode Florescent Lamp’ (CCFL) as the backlight. The said backlights are inexpensive, durable and versatile; however, it creates whites that are slightly blue, which in turn lowers the quality of the entire image. The ability of DirectTV to create accurate blacks and whites will determine the overall quality of the image. The ‘Light Emitting Diode’ (LED) is more expensive than CCFL, and offer the same applied durability and versatility; However, LED’s create more accurate colors, a brighter image, more compact size and lower energy consumption.
In a nutshell, before you consider a new TV just keep in mind: Whether the item needs to have a tuner or does it need inputs for better programming. And speaking about better programming, Directv is the undisputed leader in sports programming and the exclusive provider of NFL Sunday Ticket and SportsPack. And what makes it more amazing is that when the lines are down, of course other source is also down. So most likely, your neighbor who might be a cable-subscriber may have come to your house to possibly watch that big game through on your Direct TV.
